RW3 is a business intelligence company that extracts retail sales data to help customers maximize profits from limited information. As Systems Administrator and Network Architect, I helped design and manage a private cloud spanning multiple locations.
Highlights
- Designed, deployed, and managed a private cloud across multiple sites
- Administered a five-domain Active Directory environment (Production, Staging, Test, Development, and Office Operations) using trusts and delegation to keep management lean
- Built virtualized infrastructure on Force10 switches, Dell PowerEdge 2950 servers, and MD-series iSCSI storage, managed with VMware
- Supported a mixed OS environment across Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2003, Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, and SUSE
- Managed outsourced Exchange (2008), Active Directory, and Visual Studio 2010 Team Foundation Server, plus several ShoreTel phone system upgrades
- Deployed Nagios XI for continuous monitoring, including data room temperature, airflow, and electrical capacity, alongside Splunk for centralized, searchable event logging
- Implemented Microsoft Dynamics CRM for the Sales, Support, and Development teams
