RW3 is a Business Intelligence company; RW3 extracts retail sales data for customers to maximize profits based on the smallest amount of information. I was the Systems Administrator and Network Architect for this company. Our team drafted, installed and manages a private cloud in multiple locations. We have outsourced Exchange, (2008) active directory, Visual Studio 2010 Team Foundation, and have been through several versions of the Shoretel Phone system. Our AD system consisted of 5 domains, Production, Staging, Test, Development, and Office Operations. We used trusts, and delegations to help manage the different environments with minimal personnel resources. Force10 Switches complimented several Dell 2950’s and MD series iSCSI storage to host all the assets running in a virtual environment managed with VMware. Operating systems used were Windows 2008 R2, 2003, Ubuntu, Centos, RedHat, and SuSE.
We implemented Nagios Xi for continuous monitoring of all aspects of the system including the data room temperatures, airflow and electrical capacity. Splunk syslog kept track of all event logs and maintained an easily searchable “one place” to look for errors. Implemented a Microsoft CRM Dynamix system for Sales, Support, and Development
